The following list is not intended to be a “red velvet rope” with a big scary guy by the door to make sure only the right people get into our club. We simply have noticed that there are certain characteristics common to the people with whom Michael seems to do his best work. We just want to share this so people can get a sense of whether they want to be part of our community.
So, is this you , or maybe who you would LIKE to be? If so, then you should consider working with Michael.
You are courteous and respectful. You honor others’ boundaries and needs; you respect others’ time; you value civility.
You are upbeat. You are forward-looking and are more interested in solutions than in dwelling on problems. The past is done and you want to get on with The Work.
You are creative. Maybe you are not an artist, maybe you are, but what we’re talking about here is an openness to finding new ideas and perceptions. While you don’t throw out what works just because it currently exists, you are always considering how you might make it better or if there is a better way.
You are adventurous. By this I don’t necessarily mean things like hang-gliding, BASE jumping, or canoeing down the Amazon. (Though I’m not averse to any of these.) What I mean that you are willing to go to the edge of you current understanding and look over the precipice to what might be. You are willing to try something that seems a bit “out there” now and then. This suggests another characteristic….
You are courageous. This does not refer to an absence of fear; quite the contrary. But when you are fearful of something you are willing to be there with it and get to understand both the thing that frightens you and the part of yourself that you need to grow.
You are committed to continuous growth and learning. Your mind is hungry for new information and for ways to integrate what you know in new ways.
You are a giver. You know that to get what they want out of life you must first make a contribution. Rather than just coming to the table to see what is being served to you, you bring something to the table yourself, even if it is only your curiosity and willingness to share what you are learning.
You value people. You recognize that even contemplative societies are still societies. You care about the people in your personal and extended communities and share yourself and your resources for the greater good.
You are willing to embrace success and failure. You know that winning and losing are part of life. You are willing to learn from failures and move on quickly. You also are willing to savor success and allow yourself to have and be more of it every day.
You are not a loner. You recognize that, while personal responsibility and action is required of us, we can achieve more, faster, when we are connected to communities and teams that inspire, teach, and support us.
You are ready for more. While savoring the value of the present you are open and ready to receive more good things into their life.

In 1 1/2 hour I learned more than in other full day seminars. Very informative, well planned & fun. Great job – thanks.

I have been in sales and marketing for 17 years and your presentation to our Project NEW group was one of my favorites. Your ideas were affirming and refreshing, I picked up a few new tricks!
