In 1996 Michael Stammer was wrapping up an informal meeting with an acquaintance in his Fort Worth, Texas sales training office. The stated purpose of the meeting was just to get to know one another. As they were winding up their meeting the other party asked, “How much do I owe you?” Michael was a bit puzzled and said, “For what?”

“For what you just did,” she replied.

He was frankly still puzzled since he hadn’t really DONE anything. “Uh, I dunno, whatever you think it was worth.”

She wrote him a check and handed it to him. He looked at it and blinked. It was surprisingly large.

“What did I do?”, he asked.

“You really helped me sort out some things that weren’t clear to me when I got here. You really helped me. They were important issues.”

That’s the day Michael realized he was a coach.

Michael’s diverse background (including classical dance, direct sales, business management, sales management, and sales training) had molded a raw talent into a unique coaching style that he decided to develop and pursue full time.

Over the next few years Michael graduated from Coach University, co-founded Coach Mastermind Alliance (a private network of professional coaches who met twice a month for professional development), joined the International Coach Federation and became a founding member of the International Association of Coaches. He worked as a mentee under a Certified Master/Mentor Coach and received the designation of Certified Professional Behavior and Values Analyst.

He also kept training and coaching sales people.

Currently Michael divides his time between a select group of coaching clients, a thriving network marketing business, and a number of non-profit and service organizations and projects.
